This lathe features 4 speeds and cam lock handles on both the banjo and tailstock. A rigid and reliable base for turning is provided by the heavy weight cast construction, the tubular steel bed bars and sealed for life bearings. The machine itself is very simple to operate and is easy to maintain. There is a solid cast iron support for the headstock spindle assembly and the generous span between bearings will minimise strain on the spindle. There is a heavy duty tailstock within a cast iron construction that gives stability and support to the workpiece. It is hollow to enable easy ejection of centres and allow for long hole boring and also features easy to use cam locks. When the headstock is swivelled and the DML-BR bowl rest is used, the capacity is increased to 12". With 36" between centres, this lathe offers large capacities for an intermediate machine.
